Pallavi

Goddess with eyes like lotus petals,
Goddess who is daughter of Himalayas,
I always depended on our lotus like feet,
Give me all that is good, mother Meenakshi

Anupallavi

Do not be indifferent, oh giver of boons,
You are the only goddess of earth,
The ancient one, the one who holds a parrot,
She whose hair locks is like bees,
And the Goddess who is queen to Sadashiva.

Charanam

1. Are you not famous for fulfilling the wishes of those,
Who come to you with wants, is it a burden for you mother,
Who is renowned for mercy? I am not able to bear the delay.

2.Oh Goddess with moon like face , I have several times requested you,
To show pity on me and you mother are hesitating to do it,
And this is not respectful as you are a merciful one.

3.She who enjoys singing of Sama Veda ,
She who is the piled up hill of all virtues,
She who is worshipped by black Krishna ,
Oh pleasant black coloured Goddess,
The Goddess who is liked by Rathi and Manmatha,
You are my only hope, please protect me.
