Oh Iyappa of Shabhari who is the God of Malayalam
I surrender to you Oh Iyappa swami of Malayalam

Padi yera padi yera pavam theerkum
Padinettam padiyera pavam theerkum (Malayala)
He removes your sins as you climb and climb the steps,
He removes sins when you climb the eighteen steps.

Puliyeri varuvan palavaram tharuvan
Pambaiyil neeradum paraman ivan
Makara jyothi yil kakshi tharuvan
Krishna dasa padum swamye Iyappa (Malayala)
