Pallavi:
konji konji va guhane murugane
Pallavi
Oh Guha, Oh Muruga  come lisping , lisping

Anupa;;avi
anjal anjal enave shen shol shadangai konja kanja padam peyar ten nenjam magizhndidave

Anupallavi
With your anklets lisping  pretty words, “Do not fear”. “Do not fear”,
Take walking steps   so that my  heart is gladdened

Charanam:
pinju matiyaninda shen shadai ishanum anjana mani nila mandidum umaiyalum
konji magizh kumara anjudar vadivela tanjam unai adainden minjiya anbodu

Charanam
Oh Kumara  with  the God who wears the young crescent on his red head,
And  Uma   who is like  black gem  looking like shining moon  fondling you and becoming happy,

Oh Vadivela, I came and reached you  with great love saying “Protect me”.
