Soga Suga Mrudanga thalamu   jatha koorchi ninnu,

Sokka jeeyu  dheerudevvade.

Who is that  courageous one  who can make you interested,

By playing the sweet  Tala(beats)  in the Mrudanga.

Anupallavi

Nigama  sirordhamu  kalkina,

Nija Vakkulatho  Swara  Shuddhamu tho

Using those words with philosophical meaning ,

Which are on the top of Vedas , with purity in musical sound

Yathi  visrama   sad bhakthi  virathi,

Draksha rasa   Nava Rasa ,

Yudha kruthiche   Bajiyinchu ,

YUkthi   Thyagarajuni tharama  ?

Mixing music of proper grammar with great devotion,

And making it like grape juice with nine variable tastes,

 And using that musical work to sing about  is a trick,

Can Thyagaraja    do it?
