Evarivalla  varnimpa thagune?

How  much pretty  is Rama , how much attractive,

Who would be able  to describe   it?

Yentha vaaralaina kaani-kantha,

Chinthakranthulainaaru

However   great one is , due to  the thought of wife,

They  get   very confused   and broken.

Athameethakanula asaku  Dasulai,

Satha bhagavatha veshulairi,

Dutha pala ruche  theliyu samyame,

Dureenudow Thyagaraja  nuthudu.

Becoming slave to passion, with an eye on mother in law,

Acting  like   very good natured devotees of God,

They are  like the pot which claims to know taste of milk,

And  can they know the greatness of  that Rama  praised by Thyagaraja.
