neeradum karai thanile ,
Nerungi ummai jaadai
katti azhaithavAN Yaarayya

Yesterday at
dusk in the bathing ghat of the
river ,
Who came close to you
and invited you with signs.
Anupallavi
Nerthi ma mayil yerum
Kandhaa , neer avalum edhit
muzhiyai nirkka ,
Mayile sokkayile , pakkam thanil irundhen swami

Ok Skandha who climbs
on that great peacock , when you
and her ,
Were standing
staring at each other , making even the peacock shy ,
I was standing
near you , oh lord.

days approaching me like a relative ,

kandu,
Perulagil, chuthi kolvaar purushar idhu vundu,

churulum,

sahiyen shevalan kodi udayoi.

follishness of innocent ladies
who have a child’s brain,
In this great world
the drunk men would circle
them,
And for this verse
in pure tamil composed by Subbaraman,
